Introduction

The CrossFit606 nutrition page is designed to educate and provide up to date, well researched information on how the food and drink that you consume can affect your health, fitness and well-being, as well as to give you advice on what and when to eat and drink in order to most effectively get the results you want. Nutrition forms the foundation for our bodies to remain healthy and progress our fitness. Without a consistently good intake of quality food and drink any attempts at improving fitness, reducing body fat, gaining strength and remaining healthy will be massively hindered and sometimes futile.

 

Let me start by saying that there is a lot of conflicting information out there regarding nutrition, diets and what we should and should not be consuming. The information provided on this page is based around my findings from years of reading and research as well as what has been tried and tested on myself and the clients I have worked with. It must also be remembered that each individual is exactly that...individual. What works for one person does not necessarily work for another so it is impossible for me to provide a 'one size fits all' recommendation to how you should be eating. I encourage everyone to try and educate themselves on the subject of nutrition because following dietary recommendations, however simple, is not always easy in practice. Knowing WHY you are following these recommendations can often provide the motivation and self-discipline to stick with them.
